New day, new challenge!

This new project is taking me out of the comfort zone: photography :)
I'm happy with the results based on client's (very defined) specs:
"We are looking for a logo that would make us unique, that we can put
on business cards, t-shirts, everything. We have 3 little boys so I was
thinking of something small repeated 3 times.
Colors would be dark green, dark blue, and tan...
Fonts are open but keep in mind that my husband is very conservative
(he has never worn blue jeans), very straight laced and button down."

I'm all 'graphics' since last Friday.
I started working on a custom biz card design for Diana N,
a fellow Canadian photographer who found me through
my Etsy store.
That will keep me busy while I keep on
adding new prefab templates to my graphic design portfolio.

Last minute News: I'm adding another project! This time
is twisting one of my premade logo design + watermark for
another fellow photographer Gwen S, who found me through
Flickr.

Same old NEW hat!

I'm a graphic designer by heart and I couldn't help myself anymore...
I started offering prefabricated logo designs and matching watermarks
to other photographers like me.
They are 'out of the blue' ideas I come up with and an affordable choice.
It can be used as your website header, exchange links banner, digital
biz card, tangible biz card, you name it...
All templates are one of a kind! Once you pick yours... it's gone.

Baby shower invitations etiquette

I believe Baby showers are the "wake up call" for all moms-to be.
Yes, it is the final countdown to the real deal: motherhood.
It's like... ok, there is no more excuses... time to put the nursery together,
all the gifts are arriving, your feet are killing you and the baby is kicking harder
than ever.

Now, what? Baby shower preparations are one of those things I love to
delegate. But when it comes to invitations, that's my THING :)

What to include:
Date, time, location (including directions and map if needed)
name of the expectant mom or parents
RSVP name and phone number
Gift registry details
However, you shouldn't feel restricted to these information.

More than important - Importantisimo!
Be greatful through Thank you notes. Everybody loves them.
Yes, write down who and what... while opening presents.
(Every time I receive a personalized thank you note makes
me feel special, Ahhh!)

Valentine's in the air

I'm editing left and right, filling up galleries and...
getting ready for Valentine's Day.
The following is my 'Valentine's TO DO' list and I proudly say...
I'm accomplishing all my tasks and then some:
- Get new Valentine's theme props.
- Order some new fabrics & backdrops.
- Design more Valentine's photo cards templates.

Now... I'm multi-tasking:
- Network with new local services/retailers.
- Order more biz cards & promo postcards.
- Watch all my chick flick recorded programs... oooops.

Ok, time to put the lasagna in the oven. Ta-ta for now!
